Why Massage Therapy?
In 2001, Paul experienced the damage that stress can do to your body. The stress in his life had brought on digestive problems that doctors recommended surgery for, along with a frozen left shoulder. Paul realized that the stress level in his life needed to be managed and looked to alternative healing therapies such as Massage, Hydrotherapy, Reiki, and Yoga for help. As a result, the surgery was not required and the range-of-motion in his left shoulder improved. Paul enjoyed the serenity that these therapies brought to him and decided to start the process of changing careers after 30 years working in the corporate world, 17 in the field of Information Technology, and enrolled in the DoveStar School of Holistic Technology in Hooksett, NH and Carver, MA in 2003. On Apr 20, 2008 this career change was completed as he retired from the corporate world.

Massage Therapy Education
Paul has received over 800 hours of classroom and clinical training in Kriya Massage, Alchemia Yoga Massage, Colon Hydrotherapy, and Inner Cleanse Body Treatments and is a Reiki Master. He graduated from the Kriya Massage Program in March 2005 and became certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) in May, 2005. He is currently in the Teacher Training program at DoveStar where he is teaching body wraps and yoga bodywork classes. Paul serves on the Advisory Panel for DoveStar. In this role, he oversees the Sallie Mae loan application process for the students and school. Paul is also the webmaster for the school's web site.

Massage Therapy Philosophy
It is better to learn not to take on stress than to deal with the results of stress. At the root of our discomforts is how each of chooses to store the emotion of our life's experiences. Freeing the body of pain requires us to let go of the negative emotions and energy and bring our bodies back into balance. Paul believes all of us has the ability to heal ourselves. The integrated bodywork therapies he provides are methods to help facilitate that self-healing. Paul will discuss with you, how you are feeling before and after the session. He may offer some breathing and stretching techniques that you may use on your own to help continue the self healing process.

Personal
Paul was born and raised in Massachusetts. He attended Northeastern University where he studied Electrical Engineering. Paul and his wife Jean moved to Northborough in 1980 where they raised their two children, Jay and Carolyn. On Dec 20, 2008 Paul became a grandfather with the birth of his granddaughter Emily Jean.

Staci McSweeney LMT, CMT

Mass License No: 1034
CPR and First Aid Certified

Availability
Staci is available part time on weekdays from 8 am to 4 pm and on the weekends for couples massages with Paul.

Why Massage Therapy?
It's because of Staci's mom suffering from cancer. She saw the effects of all the drugs and wanted to figure out a way to help people feel better without the sole use of drugs. Obviously, we need drugs but Staci feels that the mind and body are so powerful that we can't forget we have to take care of that as well to help heal ourselves. She never gets tired of hearing that she has helped change the quality of somene's life for the better. Praise is Staci's biggest work motivation.

Massage Therapy Education
Staci attended Dovestar from 2003-2004 where she graduated in November 2004 from the Kriya Massage program. She began working as a massage therapist at Boston Sports Clubs where she became very interested in fitness and received her certification in Personal Training as a compliment to massage. Modalities Staci enjoys are; trigger point, deep tissue, stretching, hot stone, body wraps and prenatal massage.

Massage Therapy Philosophy
Staci believes in the need to take care of yourself. She thinks we stretch ourselves too thin these days. We must understand that we cannot keep up that pace and still remain healthy and happy. It's critical that we make time for our bodies to rest and heal. Staci's job/passion is to help educate people that massage isn't a luxury, it's a neccessity to start that healing process we so deeply need.

Personal
She grew up in Amish country in Central Ohio. Staci has lived in MA for over 10 years. Her other "love" is animals. Staci works as an assistant and receptionist at the Sudbury Animal Hospital. Her next goal is to get certified in animal massage. Staci would like to teach owners how to give massage to new pets as a calming and bonding experience as well as assisting with pain management in geriatric animals. Staci has a 4 month old kitten named Boo and an 11 year old cat named Benny who believe massage is a wonderful thing.
