Why Massage Therapy?
In 2001, Paul experienced the damage that stress can do to your body. The stress in his life had brought on digestive problems that doctors recommended surgery for, along with a frozen left shoulder. Paul realized that the stress level in his life needed to be managed and looked to alternative healing therapies such as Massage, Hydrotherapy, Reiki, and Yoga for help. As a result, the surgery was not required and the range-of-motion in his left shoulder improved. Paul enjoyed the serenity that these therapies brought to him and decided to start the process of changing careers after 30 years working in the corporate world, 17 in the field of Information Technology, and enrolled in the DoveStar School of Holistic Technology in Hooksett, NH and Carver, MA in 2003. On Apr 20, 2008 this career change was completed as he retired from the corporate world.

Massage Therapy Education
Paul has received over 800 hours of classroom and clinical training in Kriya Massage, Alchemia Yoga Massage, Colon Hydrotherapy, and Inner Cleanse Body Treatments and became a Reiki Master in December, 2003. Paul graduated from the Kriya Massage Program in March 2005 and became certified through the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) in May, 2005.

Massage Style
Paul was trained in Kriya Massage that emphasizes the integration of various modalities into the massage session. He frequently uses hot stones and passive stretching in his sessions. Paul has been trained in massaging the entire body. Therefore his sessions can include areas that are frequently skipped by massage therapist, namely the chest, abdomen and glutes. However, if you prefer these areas to be avoided they will be along with any other area you prefer not to be worked on. Every session will be customized to your preferences. If anything needs to be adjusted please let Paul know.

Self Healing
It is better to learn not to take on stress than to deal with the results of stress. At the root of our discomforts is how each of chooses to store the emotion of our life's experiences. Freeing the body of pain requires us to let go of the negative emotions and energy and bring our bodies back into balance. Paul believes all of us has the ability to heal ourselves. The integrated bodywork therapies he provides are methods to help facilitate that self-healing. Paul will discuss with you, how you are feeling before and after the session. He may offer some breathing and stretching techniques that you may use on your own to help continue the self healing process.

Personal
Paul has been a resident of Northborough since moving there with his wife in 1980. His two children are now college graduates and have entered the working world. Yeah!! "Papi" is now a grandfather with two beautiful grandgirls that live in Michigan. When not working he enjoys tenpin bowling, puttering around the house, working on getting in shape and spending time in his infrared sauna.
